Mucor

In 2018 I did this project about transcieny, named Mucor. I focused especially on mold, which I was cultivating
as a part of the process. I took pictures of the different kinds of mold in extreme close up, and made these into a decorative pattern by mirroring parts of the images. I liked the contradiction of decorating yourself with something that would already have lost all of it's value. The different kinds of mold gave different patterns and colours which I thought was very interesting. My favourite one I printed on fabric to make a kimono out of, further devoloping the idea of wearing worthlessness. I also named my project after the mold of this specific pattern: Mucor.
